Death of a 5-Year-Old Girl in a Traffic Accident in Beer Sheva

SadaNews - Doctors at Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva confirmed the death of 5-year-old Muna Salman Al-Turabin, who succumbed to her injuries from a traffic accident that occurred between two vehicles on Route 25 in the Negev last night.

The girl had been transferred to the hospital in critical condition, suffering from multiple injuries across her body, where continuous resuscitation attempts were made. However, the medical teams eventually had to declare her dead due to her severe injuries.

Ambulance crews reported that a woman (41 years old) was also injured in the accident with wounds described as moderate, and she was transported to the hospital suffering from injuries to her limbs, in addition to three other individuals whose conditions were described as mild.

The occupation police claimed that they have opened an investigation file into the circumstances of the accident.

Since the beginning of the year, 364 people, including 106 Arab citizens, have lost their lives in traffic accidents.

Data and statistics published by the Road Safety Authority in the country indicate that 364 people, including 106 Arab citizens, have died in various traffic accidents since the beginning of the current year 2025 to date.

The number of road traffic fatalities among Arab citizens in the country has reached 98, including 26 motorcyclists, since the beginning of the year 2025 to date.

In comparison, 437 people, including 162 Arab citizens, died in traffic accidents last year 2024. Meanwhile, 356 people, including 98 Arab citizens, lost their lives in traffic accidents in 2023.

In 2022, 352 people died in traffic accidents, while in 2021, 369 people were killed, compared to 306 victims in 2020 and 355 in 2019.

Regarding victims from the Arab community, 115 Arab citizens lost their lives in traffic accidents in 2022, 109 in 2021, 99 in 2020, and 110 in 2019.
