Ramallah Forces: Stop the Genocide in Gaza and Reach a Swap Deal as a Result of Our People’s Resilience and Suffering

SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces in Ramallah and Al-Bireh stated on Saturday that they view with great seriousness the manipulation being conducted by the occupying state regarding the issue of prisoners, particularly the attempts to remove the names of the leading prisoners from the list or to replace some names at the last moment, alongside attempts to market statements and rumors continuously about the names, numbers, or place of release—while simultaneously continuing its criminal aggression and targeting numerous areas in the Strip. The forces emphasize, in this context, the unity of Palestinian lands—both geographically and politically—in the West Bank and Gaza, rejecting all attempts to create solutions to detach the Gaza Strip from its organic connection to the West Bank.

The forces confirmed in a statement that "the preservation of our people's blood and the achievement of this deal is a result of the resilience and steadfastness of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza," warning of the escalation of the occupation's crimes in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the targeting of farmers during the olive harvest season, as well as the intensification of the bloody aggression from settler mobs in the coming period, encompassing areas, villages, and towns throughout the West Bank, with full financial and military support and cover from the occupying government, aiming to entrench the status quo as part of a annexation scheme.

The forces also noted the "breaking of the occupation's criteria, which the occupying state is trying to evade with more campaigns of persecution faced by prisoners inside the prisons and detention centers," calling on the residents to organize the broadest forms of public welcoming for the prisoners scheduled to be released to the West Bank.

They indicated that they held a meeting today with the presence of the Higher Committee for the Follow-Up of Prisoners and Released Prisoners, confirming that they are closely monitoring all developments related to the release of prisoners and will coordinate with partner institutions, announcing officially the place and time once specific and official information is available for their reception, in a manner that suits them, honoring their steadfastness in the occupation’s prisons and detention centers.

They affirmed that any formulas or projects aimed at bypassing the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people and treating the Palestinian lands as if they were "commercial property" will not succeed, calling for a coherent national discourse that includes all Palestinians based on the preservation and protection of their legitimate rights and thwarting the efforts of the United States and the occupation to barter rights for illusions of economic development or other projects.

They urged immediate national cohesion and unity based on the national program of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which is grounded in the right of return, self-determination, and national independence in a fully sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital, rejecting any alternative proposals, and calling for a comprehensive national dialogue to come up with a formula that cuts off attempts aimed at erasing the entire national cause.
