Settler Assaults in Various Areas of the West Bank
SadaNews - Settlers carried out attacks and assaults against Palestinians on Friday in various areas of the West Bank.
Settlers attacked olive pickers in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus.
Local sources reported that a number of settlers attacked citizens while they were harvesting olives in Aqraba, attempting to prevent them from continuing the picking operations.
Earlier today, settlers also attacked olive pickers in the town of Beita, and the assault resulted in injuries to several citizens due to beatings and inhalation of toxic gas.
Additionally, settlers raided the site of "Tel Ma'in" in the town of Karmei Tzur, south of Hebron.
Local sources indicated that settlers invaded the site and performed religious rituals in the citizens’ lands while photographing archaeological sites on the hill, including the ancient olive press and the Roman palace site.
Moreover, settlers invaded the villages of Luban al-Sharqiya and Amuria, south of Nablus.
Local sources reported that several settlers invaded, on foot, the outskirts of the villages of Luban al-Sharqiya and Amuria, supported by four vehicles from other settlers who raided the site of Mount (Tarouja) located between the two villages under the protection of occupation forces, before withdrawing through dirt roads towards the Ariel settlement west of Salfit.
During the annual olive harvest season, Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated assaults by settlers and the occupation army. Farmers consistently face assaults and violations that prevent them from accessing their lands, leading to severe financial losses and increasing their daily suffering under the yoke of occupation.
