National Forces: Stopping the Genocide and Allowing Humanitarian Aid is an Important Step that Requires International Guarantees to Open a Political Horizon that Protects National Rights
SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces in Ramallah and Al-Bireh welcome the recent developments regarding the possibility of stopping the bloodshed of our people in the Gaza Strip, halting the ongoing genocide that has lasted for nearly two years and left all forms of destruction, as well as the attempts by the occupation to displace our people from their land and homeland, and impose annexation plans and what is called imposing "sovereignty" over the West Bank. The forces extend their greetings of pride to our sons and daughters, especially in the steadfast Gaza Strip, for their heroic resilience in the face of the occupying state and their insistence on staying despite all forms of genocide and uprooting attempts that will not succeed regardless of the price.
The forces affirm that the current political moment requires reinforcing the meanings of unity and national cohesion to immediately restore national unity based on the national program of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people in all places of their existence, which is based on the right of return, self-determination, and national independence in a fully sovereign state over all the territories occupied in 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital, uniting all Palestinians within the context of defending the legitimate and inalienable national rights.
While the forces stress the importance of reviving the factors of resilience and the legitimate national struggle, they renew their affirmation that the Palestinian approval of the American proposal announced by President Trump is within the framework of a commitment to stop the bloodshed and thwart the occupation's continuation of aggression. They emphasize the importance of initiating an internal national dialogue based on clear understandings to protect the unity of the Palestinian territories in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as a single geographical and spatial entity, and the importance of working on international guarantees to open a pathway for a political process under the auspices of the United Nations to realize the independence of the State of Palestine, which has been recognized by most countries of the world, and to end the occupation in all its forms from its lands.
The forces will continue in the same context to monitor the proceedings and developments regarding the next steps concerning the implementation of the agreements' provisions, including stopping aggression first, and releasing prisoners in accordance with the agreements made under the auspices of the sponsoring parties, including the brothers in Egypt and Qatar, in addition to the United States, and obliging the occupying state to respect its agreements, alongside working to secure the entry of food and medical aid to the Gaza Strip and to facilitate the return of the displaced and refugees who were uprooted due to the occupation's bombing. The forces demand clear international guarantees to stop any future occupation aggressions and provide international protection as a step towards ending the occupation, and to activate tools for international accountability regarding the crimes of the occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
