Police Spokesman Brigadier General Louay Arzeqat Mourns Major Louay Jaafar
SadaNews - The spokesperson of the Palestinian police, Brigadier General Louay Arzeqat, announced the death of Major Louay Jaafar from the Beit Lid police station in eastern Tulkarem while “performing his national duty in pursuing drug traffickers.”
Brigadier General Arzeqat stated: "While a police checkpoint was being set up, a vehicle approached and refused to comply with the instructions to stop, and its driver breached the checkpoint, leading to Major Jaafar being run over, sustaining serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital for treatment, where doctors later declared him martyred."
The driver was pursued and arrested, and has since been detained.
Arzeqat confirmed that "the police will deal firmly with anyone who dares to threaten security, stressing that it will not tolerate lawbreakers, and will continue its efforts to pursue drug dealers and anyone who jeopardizes the security of the nation, in honor of the blood of security institution martyrs and to maintain the security and stability of citizens."
