45,000 Perform Friday Prayer at Al-Aqsa Despite Occupation Measures
SadaNews - Tens of thousands of worshipers performed the Friday prayer today at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the heightened restrictions and constraints imposed by the Israeli occupation forces at the entrances of the Old City and the mosque.
The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem indicated that 45,000 worshipers performed the Friday prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation forces enforced strict measures to limit the worshipers' access to Al-Aqsa, stopping them at its gates and at the entrances to the Old City, hindering their arrival to the mosque, turning back many of them, and preventing others from entering.
The gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed heavy congestion among worshipers after they were prevented from reaching the area, especially at the Gates of Al-Asbat, Al-Sahirah, and Al-Amoud. Young men were stopped at the Bab Hatta gate, where their identities were inspected, and others were barred from entering the mosque.
