Sheikh Meets French Consul to Discuss Developments of New York Conference
SadaNews - Today, Thursday, the Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Sheikh, met with the French Consul General Nicolas Cassianides to discuss the latest developments in the joint French-Saudi efforts to hold an international conference for the recognition of the independent Palestinian state along the borders of 1967, scheduled to take place on the 22nd of this month in New York City.
During the meeting, Sheikh emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to make this conference a success, as it represents a pivotal political milestone in enhancing recognition of the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, stressing that French and Saudi support constitutes a fundamental lever to achieve this goal.
