Thousands Participate in Pro-Palestine March in New Zealand
SadaNews - Thousands participated in a pro-Palestine march in Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, today Saturday, marking the largest march of its kind since the war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023.
The group "Aotearoa for Palestine" stated that around 50,000 people attended the "March for Humanity" in central Auckland this morning, which is the largest march in New Zealand supporting Palestinians since the outbreak of the war in Gaza.
The New Zealand public broadcasting organization reported that many participants in today's protest raised Palestinian flags and held signs with slogans including "No normalization for genocide".
New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon described the situation in Gaza, including the lack of humanitarian aid, as "extremely horrifying" last August, and noted that New Zealand is considering whether to recognize a Palestinian state.
