Occupation Forces Force Citizen to Demolish His Home Self-Destructively in the Northern Triangle Area
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces compelled Mustafa Jamal, a resident of Ara - Arara in the Northern Triangle area, on Thursday, to demolish his home which was under construction, claiming it was unlicensed.
According to available information, the piece of land on which the house was built is within the town’s urban area, but it is not included in the approved structural plan.
Ara - Arara, like most Arab towns, suffers from the lack of expansion of urban areas and zones of influence, as the town’s area has not been expanded since 1986.
The authorities insist on demolishing homes in the area, which has seen houses built for years to accommodate dozens of families, without providing appropriate solutions.
The authorities refuse to issue building permits for new homes despite all the efforts made by the locals.
The homeowner in Ara - Arara decided to demolish the house after official and judicial steps did not help him.
Jamal had spent a lot of money to build his home, but he demolished it today to avoid paying demolition costs to the Israeli authorities.
