A Hamas Leadership Delegation Meets the Iranian Foreign Minister in Doha
SadaNews - A delegation from the leadership of Hamas, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, the head of the movement in Gaza, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his accompanying delegation in the Qatari capital, Doha, today, Thursday.
According to a statement by Hamas, the meeting reviewed the political developments and the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Both sides discussed diplomatic communications aimed at stopping the aggression, with the generous efforts of mediators in Egypt and Qatar, and the communications being carried out by the movement's leadership in this regard.
The meeting also addressed the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran last June and its implications for the conflict with the occupation and the region.
For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed his country's steadfast position on the Palestinian issue and the role of the Islamic Republic in this regard.
He stated that the occupation is the enemy of the nation and humanity, emphasizing that this meaning has been confirmed thanks to the resilience and sacrifices of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
