
Delegation of Hamas Leadership Meets Iranian Foreign Minister in Doha
SadaNews - A delegation from the leadership of Hamas, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, the movement's leader in Gaza, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his accompanying delegation in the Qatari capital Doha today, Thursday.
The meeting reviewed, according to a statement from Hamas, the political developments and the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The two sides discussed diplomatic communications aimed at stopping the aggression, with the generous efforts of mediators in Egypt and Qatar, and the communications being made by the movement's leadership in this regard.
The meeting also addressed the Israeli aggression against the Iranian republic last June and its impacts on the conflict with the occupation and the region.
For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized his country's firm position regarding the Palestinian cause and the role of the Islamic Republic in this regard.
He stated that the occupation is the enemy of the nation and of humanity, emphasizing that this meaning has been confirmed thanks to the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
