Red Crescent Opens Primary Care Center at Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City
SadaNews - The Palestinian Red Crescent Society has opened a primary care center at Al-Quds Hospital in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
The society stated in a press release today that the opening of the center and the medical clinic aims to provide basic nursing services and maternal and child health services, including vaccinations and monitoring cases of malnutrition, in a step intended to enhance the society's response to the increasing health needs in the Gaza Strip.
It clarified that the opening of this clinic reflects its commitment to expand its services and ensure they reach various segments of the population, especially amidst the significant pressure on healthcare facilities and the severe humanitarian conditions.
This development coincides with the recent success of medical teams at Al-Quds Hospital in reopening the cardiac and peripheral catheterization department through their own efforts, with several operations completed in recent days, representing a qualitative addition to the healthcare sector which is suffering from a severe shortage of specialized services, providing patients the opportunity to receive treatment within Gaza amidst the closure of borders and restrictions on travel.
The Red Crescent Society continues its efforts to enhance its health services through its network of centers and clinics spread across various areas of the Strip, ensuring that basic and emergency medical care reaches as many citizens as possible.
