Settlers Expand Colonial Outpost South of Hebron

Sada News - Today, Wednesday, settlers began expanding a settlement outpost established on citizens' lands in Khirbat Deir Razih south of Hebron.

According to press sources, a group of armed settlers started to expand the colonial outpost that was created in December of last year on the lands of the residents in Khirbat Deir Razih south of Hebron, by bringing in more than 30 caravans and installing them in that area.

Last year, occupation bulldozers and settlers had razed about 400 dunams of citizens' lands owned by the Amro family, cut down trees, destroyed crops, and paved a settlement road 3 kilometers long.

Today, Wednesday, there was a significant escalation in the seizure of citizens' lands in southern Hebron, as groups of settlers began establishing a new settlement outpost in the village of Um al-Khair, and expanding two others in both Khillat al-Dhab and Shaab al-Batam in Masafer Yatta, with several caravans being installed and construction of new units being carried out.

In the same context, a group of settlers attacked shepherds and their flocks in the Al-Tayaran neighborhood in the town of Al-Dhahiriya south of Hebron, preventing them from reaching fields and pastures.

Citizen Karam Abu Sharakh stated that settlers are imposing a siege on the residents in that area, preventing them from leaving their homes and grazing their sheep, as well as preventing anyone from reaching and visiting them. They have significantly escalated their attacks on the residents, posing a real threat to their lives, forcing them to forcibly relocate children and women to another area, while keeping only the elderly to protect their lands and properties.
