The Palestinian Delegation Concludes Its Visit to Jordan to Learn About the Electronic Accident Report System
SadaNews - A Palestinian delegation comprising the Palestinian Capital Market Authority, the Traffic Department of the Palestinian Police, and the Palestinian Insurance Companies Union concluded its visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to learn about the Jordanian experience in the insurance sector, particularly regarding the "E-Kroka" electronic system.
The delegation included Baraq Al-Nabulsi - General Director of the Authority, Mr. Amjad Qabha, General Director of Insurance Business Control, Mr. Nihad As'ad, Board Member of the Palestinian Insurance Companies Union and General Director of Al-Mashriq Insurance Company, Ayman Al-Sabah, Board Member and Secretary of the Palestinian Union Council and General Director of Al-Mahalli Group Insurance Company, Brigadier Mansour Daraghmeh, Director of the Traffic Department, and Mahmoud Sharqiya, Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Authority, along with other representatives including Amjad Abdul-Haq Qabha, Road Accident Inspector and Traffic Department, and Kayid Ma'ari, Secretary General of the Palestinian Insurance Companies Union.
The visit included a series of important meetings with the Central Bank of Jordan and the Jordanian Insurance Companies Union, attended by Engineer Majid Samirat, Chairman of the Union's Board, Mr. Rida Dahbour, Board Member of the Union, and Dr. Muayad Al-Khaloub, CEO, along with participation from the Executive Administration of the Union and the General Security Directorate.
In conjunction with this visit, a comprehensive working meeting was held between representatives of the Jordanian and Palestinian markets, where Jordanian market representatives introduced the role of the Jordanian Insurance Companies Union and the services it offers to member insurance companies, along with its major strategic projects that contributed to a qualitative leap in the insurance sector in the Kingdom, such as the electronic issuance system, the electronic E-Kroka system, in addition to electronic linkage projects and data exchange with official bodies adopted by the Union, including the Directorate of Licensing Drivers and Vehicles, the Ministry of Health, and the Jordanian Customs Department to serve insurance companies, providing time and effort and enhancing performance efficiency.
They also discussed the Jordanian Union's experience in specialized insurance training, the development of training projects over the past years, and providing free training for insurance companies, along with the Union's successful experiences in organizing insurance conferences and specialized seminars to raise the level of professional knowledge and exchange expertise in the sector, as well as the preparations made by the Union to host the 35th General Conference of the Arab Insurance Federation GAIF35, which will be hosted by the Jordanian insurance market from October 4 to 7, 2026, in the Dead Sea area.
The delegation was also extensively briefed on the Jordanian experience in issuing electronic road accident reports through the electronic E-Kroka system, which was the focal point of the visit, showcasing the stages of project development and implementation in cooperation with the General Security Directorate, and the key results achieved, whether in terms of speeding up compensation procedures, improving the accuracy of calculating compensations and technical provisions, or providing a comprehensive database used in underwriting, compensation, market analysis, and studying the traffic reality in the Kingdom.
The Palestinian delegation appreciated the cooperation they felt from the representatives of the Jordanian Insurance Companies Union, the Central Bank of Jordan, and the General Security, expressing their pride in the Jordanian accomplishments achieved by the Jordanian insurance market through the projects completed for the sector, as well as in the development of the insurance sector.
At the end of the visit, the Palestinian delegation representatives presented commemorative gifts to the Jordanian partner entities, reflecting Palestinian heritage and culture, as a gesture of thanks and appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the success of this visit and for sharing Jordan's experiences with the Palestinian delegation.
