The Number of Building Permits Issued in Palestine Increased by 33% During the Third Quarter of 2025

SadaNews - The number of permits issued in Palestine during the third quarter of 2025 increased by 33% compared to the second quarter of 2025, as no building permits were issued in the Gaza Strip during the same period. The number of permits issued in Palestine also recorded a 13% increase compared to the same quarter of 2024, with the increase in the number of new building permits reaching 36% compared to the second quarter of 2025, and a 39% increase compared to the same quarter of 2024.

The total number of issued building permits for residential and non-residential buildings was 2,184 permits during the third quarter of 2025, of which 1,452 were new building permits.

The total area of licensed buildings (residential and non-residential) reached 1,033 thousand square meters, of which 869 thousand square meters were for new buildings and 164 thousand square meters for existing buildings.

The number of licensed housing units reached 4,437 housing units with an area of 736 thousand square meters, including 3,809 new housing units covering an area of 626 thousand square meters, and 628 existing housing units with a total area of 110 thousand square meters.

The number of new housing units recorded an increase of 28% during the third quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter of 2025, and a 32% increase compared to the same quarter of 2024.
