Arab Bank Renews Cooperation Agreement with SOS Children's Villages Palestine
SadaNews - The Arab Bank recently renewed its cooperation agreement with SOS Children's Villages Palestine to support two homes in the village in Bethlehem, as part of its commitment to providing support for social initiatives aimed at ensuring care and a dignified life for children without family care. The agreement was signed by Dr. Jamal Hurani, the Regional Director for Palestine at the Arab Bank, and Ms. Ghada Harzallah, the National Director of SOS Children's Villages Palestine.
Under the agreement, the bank commits to providing all basic needs for the children residing in the two homes, including education, clothing, food, in addition to healthcare and psychological support, as well as covering all other operational expenses for a full year.
Commenting on this initiative, Dr. Jamal Hurani emphasized that renewing this cooperation falls within the Arab Bank's strategy for social responsibility, which focuses on supporting underprivileged groups through collaboration with active community institutions, particularly those concerned with supporting children without familial care, with the aim of contributing to securing a dignified life and a better future for them. He noted that SOS Children's Villages in Palestine is one of the institutions that play an active role in this field and has a rich history in providing care and support for this group.
For her part, Ms. Harzallah thanked the Arab Bank for renewing this cooperation, which will enhance the work of the organization and its services and increase the number of beneficiaries from all its programs, at a time when the local community needs to come together and mobilize resources to serve the less fortunate and more affected groups.
It is worth noting that the Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive and integrated strategy in the field of sustainability and social responsibility, driven by its desire to achieve a tangible positive impact on both the economic and social levels, in addition to its commitment to sustainable environmental practices. The "Together" program for social responsibility embodies this direction by supporting a range of diverse initiatives and activities that contribute to serving vital sectors, including education, health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, women's empowerment, and orphan care, through joint efforts with local community institutions and various relevant entities.
