"Get Tested Now to Stay Safe".. The Palestinian Islamic Bank Launches a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
SadaNews - In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and alongside the "Pink October" activities launched by the Ministry of Health, the Palestinian Islamic Bank has launched a breast cancer awareness campaign under the title "Get Tested Now to Stay Safe."
This campaign aims to enhance awareness within the bank and in the community about the importance of regular breast cancer screenings and its role in the early detection of a disease that is the most common type of cancer among women in Palestine and worldwide.
The Director General of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi, stated that this campaign aligns with the bank's policy on social responsibility, both internally and externally, as raising awareness among the bank's female employees about breast cancer will contribute to increasing community awareness, considering them as active and pioneering figures in their surroundings. Concurrently, the bank will launch an awareness campaign for the public about breast cancer through its social media platforms.
Al-Saadi added: "Raising health awareness is fundamental in the fight against breast cancer, and all sectors and groups must play an active role in educating women, as early detection makes the recovery rate exceed 96%, according to statistics from the Ministry of Health, which provides these screenings for free across all its directorates."
The Palestinian Islamic Bank’s sustainable social responsibility policy emphasizes the necessity of contributing to the development process and playing an active role in serving the community, aiding our people, improving their living conditions, and strengthening their resilience in light of the difficult circumstances they face, in line with the global goals for sustainable development.
