Palestine Bank Provides Mobile Housing Units for Patient Companions at Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem

SadaNews - Palestine Bank has provided mobile housing units (caravans) for Al-Makassed Islamic Charitable Society Hospital in Jerusalem, to contribute to providing safe and dignified accommodations for patient companions from the West Bank and Gaza, who are compelled to stay beside their loved ones during treatment.

This initiative from Palestine Bank comes in response to an urgent humanitarian need, which has long burdened the companions of patients at Al-Makassed Hospital, represented in the lack of suitable places for lodging and rest, especially amid the difficult economic conditions that increase their suffering while accompanying their relatives for treatment.

Mahmoud Al-Shawa, General Manager of Palestine Bank, expressed his happiness at providing these specialized housing units for Al-Makassed Hospital, which will meet the needs of companions who struggle to find a place to rest, noting that this initiative is part of a series of projects and contributions offered by the bank as part of its commitment to community development, and within its sustainable vision to support vital sectors, including enhancing the resilience of health institutions in Jerusalem.

Al-Shawa affirmed that the bank attaches great importance to providing support for medical institutions that serve patients from various parts of the homeland, pointing out that Al-Makassed Hospital is one of the most important medical centers that receive complicated medical cases from all Palestinian governorates, emphasizing his continued support for humanitarian initiatives that make a real difference in people's lives.

In this regard, Dr. Omar Abu Zaidah, General Director of Al-Makassed Hospital, appreciated this generous initiative from Palestine Bank, which aims to provide mobile housing units (caravans) for patient companions coming from the West Bank and Gaza.

He noted that the bank continues to make distinctive marks in supporting the health sector and other vital sectors, expressing hope for the continuation of this fruitful cooperation between the two sides to serve patients and enhance the resilience of the hospital in fulfilling its humanitarian and national mission.

It is worth mentioning that Palestine Bank is committed to allocating a portion of its annual profits to support various developmental and community programs, including health, higher education, care for children, women, and youth, in addition to infrastructure projects, recreational facilities, and the development of sports talents, reflecting its role as a key partner in the national development journey.
