SadaNews - The Palestinian Islamic Bank has launched the "Empowerment and Enhancement Program for Promising Female Employees," which aims to develop the bank's female employees and strategically, administratively, professionally, and personally empower them to take on future leadership roles in the workplace and enhance their roles in decision-making.

The program involves 25 distinguished female employees from various departments, branches, and administrations of the bank, who will receive numerous important training sessions in management topics such as leadership, digital transformation, change management, and Islamic banking, among other training topics considered essential for building successful female leaders, in addition to diverse topics in Islamic banking.

The program was launched at the bank's headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of General Manager Dr. Imad Al-Saadi, the bank's executive management, as well as the program participants.

Al-Saadi stated that launching this program aligns with the bank's strategy and the directives of the Board of Directors to increase investment in human resources as it is the foundation for work development and progress in excellence and achievement. It also enhances the participants' skills and their ability to assume important administrative positions in the future. Additionally, the program is in harmony with the initiative of the Union of Arab Banks to establish an Arab Women's Empowerment Authority, reinforcing the principles of environmental and social governance, and supporting the presence of women in the workplace and contributing to developing their capabilities.

Al-Saadi added: "We believe in the continuous importance of investing in human resources, based on our conviction that it is the real capital of the institution, the main driver of its activities, and responsible for implementing its ambitious strategic plans. The launch of this program also aims to enhance women's roles in advanced job positions in the bank."

Al-Saadi explained that this training program runs in parallel with other training programs that the bank is implementing for its human resources, the most prominent of which is the LEADERS program, which includes more than 60 employees from supervisory levels in the institution. He pointed out that the bank annually provides all its employees with the necessary training to develop their skills and improve their effectiveness in their work. Last year, 2024, the bank offered its employees dozens of training programs, totaling more than 2,400 training participations.
