Israel Announces Destruction of VIP Plane in Tehran
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army announced on Monday that it had destroyed a plane previously used by former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran at night.
It clarified that the plane was used by senior Iranian officials and military figures for travel within and outside the country, as well as for coordinating with allied countries.
The targeted plane is an A340 model with registration number EP-IGA, and it was considered the main means for official leadership travel.
Mehrabad is one of the oldest airports in Tehran, currently serving domestic and regional flights.
In addition to being the busiest civilian airport, it is also a dual-use facility housing assets belonging to the air force.
