Raids and Arrests in the West Bank and Jerusalem Amid Settler Attacks

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of raids and arrests at dawn and on the morning of Monday, targeting various areas in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, affecting dozens of Palestinians including released prisoners.

The campaign of incursions and arrests came amid clashes in some areas as residents confronted the invading forces and responded to attacks by settler gangs.

In the town of Tuqu' southeast of Bethlehem, the forces arrested 15 young men during a raid that lasted for hours, and young man Musa Awad was detained after his home was raided on Al-Saff Street in the city center.

In the town of Attil north of Tulkarem, four young men were arrested: Nihad Salim, Ala Salim, Muawiya Shalabi, and Mu'tasim Al-Saadi following raids on several homes.

In the town of Beitunia west of Ramallah, the occupation forces arrested young men Anas Al-Ajouri and Yazan Jirdat after raiding their homes, while engineer Muhammad Kanaan was detained from inside one of the mosques in the Ain Menjad neighborhood of the city.

The northern West Bank also witnessed other arrests, including the detention of young man Thabit Nayef Musallam in Khirbet Al-Marajem south of Nablus, and Dr. Mazen Khuwaira during the raid on the city of Nablus.

Regarding confrontations, the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem recorded 14 resistant actions in the past 48 hours, which included confronting settlers, throwing stones and Molotov cocktails, in addition to the outbreak of protests and confrontations in several locations, according to the Palestinian Information Center "Ma'ata".

Clashes erupted with the occupation in the town of Al-Ram in Jerusalem, Kafr Malik in Ramallah, Beita in Nablus, Beit Fajar in Bethlehem, Al-Aroub camp, and the towns of Beit Ummar and Dora in Hebron, as well as in the cities of Salfit and Jericho.

Residents of the town of Qusra north of Nablus also confronted settlers, and similar confrontations and protests broke out in Qusra and the town of Tammun in Tubas, amid ongoing Israeli incursions and arrests.
