National Bank and Palestinian Alimony Fund Collaborate to Provide Food Packages for Vulnerable Families

SadaNews - As part of joint efforts to enhance social solidarity and support the most needy groups during the holy month, the National Bank and the Palestinian Alimony Fund signed a cooperation agreement today to provide food packages for the most vulnerable alimony-receiving families headed by women in the West Bank.

The agreement was signed by the CEO of the National Bank, Salama Khalil, and the Director General of the Palestinian Alimony Fund, A. Fatima Moukat, in the presence of several officials from both parties, with the signing taking place at the bank's headquarters in Ramallah.

During his speech at the signing ceremony, Khalil emphasized that this initiative is part of the National Bank's commitment to its social responsibility and its keenness to support the most needy groups, contributing to alleviating the living burdens on these families and enhancing their resilience amidst difficult economic conditions. Khalil expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the Alimony Fund and its active role in protecting the rights of women and their children.

For her part, A. Fatima Moukat expressed her appreciation for the partnership with the National Bank and its active role in supporting the efforts of the Palestinian Alimony Fund, noting that this initiative comes at a time when the community is facing political, economic, and social challenges as a result of the occupation's practices and the conditions imposed on citizens' lives. She pointed out that supporting families benefiting from the Fund's services, especially those headed by women, is part of a national responsibility to enhance the resilience of these families and empower them to face challenges and maintain their dignity.

She also indicated that the cooperation of public institutions and the private sector forms a fundamental pillar in supporting community resilience and strengthening the social protection system in the face of national challenges.
