A Standstill!

While the lenses of the world turn to another sky ablaze with war, Gaza remains alone under the rubble of heavy silence. There, where tragedy does not require urgent headlines to assert its presence, people continue their daily struggle with hunger, thirst, and fear, as if they are trapped on the margins of history. Children searching for the shade of a home that no longer stands, and mothers rummaging through the debris for a meaning to life after loss has become a daily language. With each news bulletin preoccupied with a new front, the pain of Gaza takes yet another step backward, as if the world has decided to leave that narrow, small strip to face its fate alone, without noise or witnesses.

On the other side of the tragedy, the Palestinian scene is shrouded as if it is a prisoner of a stopped time. While daily killings continue across the West Bank, the latest being the massacre in Tamun against an innocent family trying to secure a smile for their children, and at a time when transformations in the region are accelerating and the balance of power is being reshaped, the leadership seems unable to seize the moment or turn it into an opportunity. A heavy silence looms over the scene, as a people facing war and occupation await a word that unifies them or a vision that guides them.

In moments of great history, absence is not just the lack of initiative; it becomes an additional burden on the shoulders of a people searching for someone to open a horizon for salvation.

In times of great wars, small tragedies may be forgotten in the headlines, but history does not forget those who left their people alone in the heart of the storm.
