Fleeing into War: How Trump and Netanyahu's Crises Lead the World Toward a Dangerous Confrontation

Amid rapid global transformations, the recent war against Iran emerges as an event that transcends the boundaries of traditional military conflict, revealing a perilous path that threatens international stability. Far from the official narrative linking wars to security or stability, this confrontation appears closer to a conflict driven by personal and political calculations, where Israeli interests and the internal considerations of political leaders take precedence over the interests of the people, while societies bear an increasing economic and humanitarian cost.

In the United States, Trump faces a series of internal political crises, including allegations related to the Jeffrey Epstein case that threaten his political and legal trajectory. Under this pressure, military escalation becomes a tool for escaping internal crises, while there is a growing sentiment among American citizens rejecting the draining of funds and American soldiers' blood in conflicts that do not represent their direct interests, particularly when these resources are used to support Israel in its aggression and regional disputes.

Meanwhile, in the occupying state of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu lives under the pressure of ongoing corruption trials while the population of the occupying state suffers from the repercussions of repeated wars. Conflict is no longer just military confrontations at the borders but has extended to affect the daily lives of citizens, who suffer from the destruction of infrastructure, economic collapse, the emigration of businesses and citizens, and even difficulty accessing basic services like public restrooms in some areas. All this increases the people's discontent and reflects a heavy political and social cost within the occupying state of Israel.

Since the escalation began, political leaders in Washington and Tel Aviv, led by Trump and Netanyahu, have been keen on lying and presenting an image that suggests a quick military resolution. Netanyahu has repeatedly declared the eradication of Hamas and Hezbollah's capabilities, while Trump has confirmed the destruction of Iranian military capabilities and the control of airspace. However, the ground reality is different; missile launches from Lebanon and Iran and attacks on sensitive sites show that the announced outcomes do not reflect the actual situation, that the war is not as decisively concluded as portrayed in the media, and that all fronts remain ablaze.

Media blackout deepens this gap; media coverage in the occupying state of Israel, the United States, the Gulf States, and the region has been subjected to strict controls, with restrictions on photographing strike sites and disseminating field information. In several cases, citizens or journalists face legal threats that could lead to five years in prison when attempting to document events, whether in Israel or in Gulf States housing American bases.

The most sensitive matter lies within the Gulf region, which is not a primary party in this crazy war but has come to bear the burden of American military bases deployed within it. There is an increasing call in some regional countries to expel these bases, considering that local security should not become a means to protect American and Israeli interests, while Gulf armies bear the burden of protecting these bases and intercepting rockets aimed at Israel instead of directly safeguarding their own territories. For its part, Iran has confirmed that its targets are limited to these bases and its attacks on Iranian cities, asserting that once the American military withdraws or halts its actions against Iran, operations will cease, and expelling Americans would protect regional countries from entering into direct confrontation with their neighbor, Iran, which has expressed its unwillingness for any conflict with its neighbors. It has become evident, through certain American Congressional members, that they seek to embroil Gulf countries in a bloody war with Iran, merely supplying them with arms.

The danger of escalation is not confined to the region; the war with Iran could have repercussions for major powers, as Iran has strategic relations and economic interests with Russia and China, and European participation in the Western coalition could lead to widespread international confrontation. In a world possessing massive nuclear arsenals, any uncalculated escalation could drag the world into a catastrophic confrontation with a potential existential threat to the United States and Israel.

Ultimately, this war reveals a harsh paradox: internal crises and personal pressures on leadership transform into a global struggle that threatens the stability of all humanity. Between statements from Trump and Netanyahu and the field realities, citizens everywhere remain the true victims, while the truth is lost in the whirlpool of official media disinformation. Worse still, Netanyahu has not found a more foolish American president than Trump among all previous presidents to lure him into an uncalculated war with Iran, even against the entire world—a war that could easily escalate into a wide regional confrontation with global repercussions, placing the whole world on the brink of a conflict unseen for decades.
