Just a Suggestion and Advice
I suggest that every Palestinian writer or journalist, when speaking about or to any Palestinian official in any organization, regardless of their position, mention them by their simple name or job title without referring to them as leader, fighter, hero, great Mujahid, His Excellency, His Honor, General, or inspiring leader, or with titles like leader the size of the homeland, the last stronghold, or symbol of nationalism, or His Excellency the President, etc. I also suggest to these (leaders) to ask media personnel to address them by their simple names, as these previous titles have become detached from reality, and there is a wide gap between them and the reality of the people and the cause. They have also become a subject of public mockery, as most of our leaders and generals have not faced any battle or confrontation with the enemy, and have not even thrown a stone at him as the heroes of the stone intifada did.
When leaders were truly leaders, we addressed them as Abu Ammar, Abu Jihad, Abu Iyad, or comrade George Habash, etc., and they did not object or express displeasure about this, unlike the so-called leaders today, who, if you address one of them by their simple name, will look at you disdainfully as if you are insulting them.
We must seek heroism, leadership, nobility, true nationalism, and sacrifice for the homeland among the lists of martyrs and detainees in the occupation prisons, and among the few oppressed living individuals holding on to the coals.
May God have mercy on those who know their worth.
