Motives Behind European Recognition of the Palestinian State!

The recent and subsequent tsunami of recognitions of the Palestinian state, especially from the European side, regardless of the borders, character, and shape of this state, comes at a very crucial and difficult time. The Palestinian Arab people are facing genocide, ethnic cleansing, and criminal acts that surpass those committed by the Nazis and fascists last century. Despite the significance of these recognitions and their future legal implications, along with the expected Israeli escalation with further arbitrary actions against Palestinians and their legitimate rights, what is the importance of this recognition at such a time, amidst the chaos that is engulfing the region due to Israeli arrogance, bullying, and supremacy? Furthermore, what has driven Europe, especially Britain, which was instrumental in establishing the Hebrew state and has supported it for over seven decades, providing it with various types of weapons, including nuclear ones, and has turned a blind eye to its repeated aggressions in the region, to initiate recognition of the Palestinian state?
European recognition of the state, even if it does not translate into immediate reality in the near future, is a very important step. It could slow down the Israeli project of expansion and allows for legal recognition of the June 4, 1967 borders — albeit incomplete and excluding Jerusalem — which could kill Zionist dreams in their cradle and place the foundations of the Hebrew state in a predicament with an Israeli society that has become marginalized in various quarters and increasingly dares not walk around for fear of trial and punishment.
But what has prompted official Europe to initiate and recognize the Palestinian state after a struggle nearing its eighth decade?
1. Rescuing the Hebrew state from itself!! Europe has sensed the existential threat facing Israel, which has begun to live in international isolation and is headed toward the abyss following the repercussions of the aggression it launched against the occupied Palestinian territories immediately after the Palestinian resistance operation on October 7, 2023, particularly in the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian catastrophe that has befallen it due to the enormity of the crimes that violate all rules of war and human and international laws.
Europe began to view the right-wing extremist government in Israel as a threat to the existence of the Hebrew state, placing it in a significant predicament from which, if it persists, it may not emerge unscathed. Especially since the pillars of the far-right have publicly announced their messianic dreams of a 'Greater Israel' that would swallow lands from neighboring countries and extend to the borders of Turkey, imposing itself as a force that could lead it to revolt against its creators. Not to mention the warnings from many members of the elite, including politicians and Israeli military personnel, about the danger posed by the ruling right to the existence of their state, and the voices that have begun to rise to rescue the state from it, including an inversely proportional emigration from Israel among those with dual nationality, estimated in the thousands and increasing daily.
From here, European sensing is born; on one hand, this parasitic state planted in the Arab body does not want to weaken too much to remain the policeman of the region where it was created and a monster threat to anyone who attempts to rebel, in order to safeguard its interests which would be negatively impacted. On the other hand, Christian Europe has not forgotten the deeply rooted history and enmity with Judaism and the complex relationship between the two sides over the past centuries, along with what the Jews practiced in terms of schemes, conspiracies, corruption, and their financial influence in European society. Thus, Europe worked wisely to rid itself of the Jews by establishing a state for them in the Middle East.
2. The rising waves of anger sweeping through European streets from the horrendous crimes committed by the far-right, which draws its ideas from the Talmud and controls the course of the Hebrew state while tormenting the Palestinian Arab people. This street has formed an image in their minds of Israel as a rogue state that disrespects laws and norms, and it is likely to be in power in Europe in the future. This could impact the future relationship and fate of the Hebrew state. The boiling European street can no longer be silenced and threatens the stability and structure of modern European societies based on respecting human rights and freedoms in all their forms. The official European side hastened to absorb public resentment and moved to announce recognition of the Palestinian state, followed by punitive measures against the Hebrew state, such as halting arms deals with it and threatening to withdraw from conferences and contests like the World Cup and Eurovision should Israel participate in them.
Amidst the tsunami of recognitions of the Palestinian state, U.S. President Donald Trump, whose country had vetoed last weekend, emerged with an international proposal to stop the aggression on Gaza. He announced his intention to hold a meeting with a "selected group" of leaders from the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, and Turkey) on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York, to discuss ways to end the war on Gaza. This comes amid Israeli threats to respond by annexing parts of the occupied West Bank and just days before hosting the occupying government’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on September 29. Does this "Trumpian" step come to circumvent the wave of recognitions of the state of Palestine and attempt to abort it?!
To capitalize on the wave of recognitions of the Palestinian state, and thwart efforts to abort it, Palestinians are required to invest the accumulations of Palestinian struggle over the past decades, which culminated in the October 7 operation, in the best possible way and begin to unite their ranks. Following them, the Arabs, if they truly sense the Israeli threats and dreams based on swallowing parts of their lands, must rid themselves of the American hegemony complex and dependency, stop being mere witnesses to the crimes committed against Palestinians which have also affected their own peoples, and invest European recognitions to build a national strategy that protects their national security.
