The Plan to "Occupy" Gaza to Complete the Eradication and Displacement
The Scene of Live Eradication and the Attempt to Assassinate the Truth
In the face of the genocidal scene being carried out live, despite the attempt to assassinate the truth itself, not only by killing journalists and influencers from Gaza, the latest being the renowned local and international journalist Anas Al-Sharif and his colleagues, but also by preventing foreign press from entering to witness the reality of what is happening, has speech regained its value and writing its meaning?! Perhaps that would be the least we can do, as the cries of the victim, even if they echo in a deep valley, are better than the surrender the fascists aim for to kill us in silence and uproot us from this land.
Announcement of the Plan to "Occupy Gaza"
The latest barbarity from the Tel Aviv government is the announcement of its plan to "occupy" the city of Gaza and the central camps, as if the city of Gaza and the entire sector and its camps are not already occupied, not only in the current genocide but since the occupation of what remained of Palestine after the June 1967 defeat. The redeployment of occupation forces and the evacuation of settlements in the sector in 2005 did not end its occupation, according to international law. What took place at that time was merely a change in the nature of the occupation from direct presence to one through fire and siege, placing the sector and its people in a state of resuscitation: "neither death nor life", and outside the ability to influence the larger battle to liquidate the Palestinian cause by swallowing the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
Netanyahu's Acknowledgment of the Term Occupation
The only important thing in Netanyahu's announcement is his acknowledgment for the first time of the term occupation, meaning that it is not the "Promised Land" of the Torah, which, according to his ideas and ongoing expansionist plan, is the West Bank, not because Gaza is insignificant in his geopolitical and ideological calculations; Gaza, which has always represented the backbone of resistance and national identity in the face of the Zionist project, has always been a source of concern for the demographic equation that it represents and remains the biggest obstacle to the success of his plans on the historical land of Palestine. The saying of Rabin and his dream "that one day he would wake up to find Gaza submerged in the sea" was just a profound expression of the racial headache that Gaza poses as a thorn in the throat of the occupation, liquidation, and uprooting project.
A Press Conference Full of Lies
In his press conference with foreign journalists this Sunday, Netanyahu summoned all his expertise in lies in an attempt to justify his plan and downplay its impact and repercussions, claiming he is keen on liberating Gaza from Hamas, and positioning himself as a guardian of the region wishing to appoint a civilian administration outside of the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, so that, according to his claim, the people of Gaza can live "in peace that they deserve" in the words of his partner in genocide, Donald Trump.
The Israeli and world press has dubbed this conference as being full of lies and deception, surpassing even Goebbels' theory in media: "lie and lie until you believe it yourself." So, what does Netanyahu want from his plan to "occupy Gaza", which about 70% of Israeli society opposes, and which even the occupation army is apprehensive about its consequences, which did not care about committing acts of genocide for the past twenty-two months, and which the entire world rejects except for the White House? It is, simply put, the real objective of the ongoing military aggression, not only since October 8, but since the Nakba and the dream of Tel Aviv's rulers that Gaza would drown in the sea. And for Netanyahu, it is fine for Gaza to drown in its own blood and in the sands of the desert again, and if he needs the sea, it will be there without leaving its place. This is the continuous fascist racial insistence on genocide to carry out uprooting and displacement.
Reasons for Netanyahu's Audacity
The question is: what encourages Netanyahu to do this? In addition to the American position that aligns with the rulers of Tel Aviv, the Western positions that attempt to absolve themselves from long-term complicity, not just born out of the last twenty-two months, but since November 29, 1947, when the General Assembly issued its resolution 181 calling for the division of Palestine into two states, where these countries provided every means necessary for the establishment of Israel, including turning it into a nuclear state, while on the other hand participated in efforts to erase and dissolve the Palestinian identity to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state according to that resolution and its conditions on Israel, including the right of return for Palestinian refugees according to resolution 194.
Netanyahu's arrogance cannot be overlooked without mentioning the weakness of the Arab and Islamic reality, and the absence of Palestinian vision, including the marginalization of the will and unified national frameworks capable of reviving the total energies of the Palestinian people, despite the clear and complementary plans to complete the genocide and implement the mass displacement of our people in the Gaza Strip, by dismissing the Palestinian entity that Ben Gvir calls for, which means liquidating the rights and the Palestinian cause. For Ben Gvir does not speak whimsically; he is the ideological son of Netanyahu and his father.
The Required Arab Stance
In response to Netanyahu's delusions to sedate the opposition, the military, and the Israeli society that he wants to liberate Gaza from Hamas and hand it over to an Arab force, it has always been sufficient, and it is essential, for Arabs to come out with a unified stance that transcends traditional preambles, saying and stating clearly: "We are not servants to Netanyahu's plans in the genocide and uprooting of the Palestinian people, and the only solution for the stability of the region is to stop aggression and military solutions, end the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, and enable the Palestinian people to determine their destiny and realize their sovereignty over it." Will we hear that?
Questions to the International Community
Will we hear a rejection of the "occupation of Gaza" from European and Western capitals in general, declaring their intention to recognize the State of Palestine, that they will go to the Security Council to implement resolution 181, and to end the occupation of the State of Palestine under Chapter Seven, or face the anticipated American veto by going to the General Assembly under the heading "Union for Peace" to achieve that? This question is also directed to Russia, China, and other international groups and countries influential in international decision-making.
Our Responsibility as Palestinians
And most importantly of all: will we hear President Abbas, who is said to be considering declaring Palestine a state under occupation, call upon all Palestinian forces without exclusion or exception to discuss how to transform that into a plan to revive the total Palestinian capacity and restore its national institutions?
The declaration of independence issued in November 1988, powered by the great uprising of intifada, affirms that Palestine belongs to all Palestinians wherever they are. For Palestine deserves it, and it is greater and more important than everyone.
