Ramallah and Al-Bireh Forces Call for Confronting Settlers by All Available Means

SadaNews - The forces of Ramallah and Al-Bireh have called for confronting the settlers by all available means and thwarting annexation and displacement plans.

They stated in a press release: "The occupying state and its aggressive arm in the occupied Palestinian territories continue the brutal aggression of the settlers against villages, towns, and facilities, and even mosques and crops have not been spared from this sinful aggression, with mutual role exchange in intensifying attacks and abusing citizens, while checkpoints and gates are closed in violation of the simplest rules of international law, depriving citizens of their right to movement and medical treatment guaranteed by all international norms. They keep pushing dozens of military units as part of the annexation and Judaization plan and imposing a fait accompli".

They added: "The national and Islamic forces of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, while affirming our people's insistence on continuing its legitimate struggle and right to defend itself against organized state terrorism and occupation crimes, demand a comprehensive political and popular movement to thwart the occupation's policy aimed at displacing our people from their land. They call for the highest levels of vigilance and readiness to confront settlers' attacks and to thwart their plans aimed at ethnic cleansing. They also call for strengthening and solidifying the field unity and solidarity of all in the face of this aggressive war and to confront these attacks by all available means, and salute the people of Tal, Beit Furik, Surra, and the villages of the eastern countryside of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, as well as all our people across Palestine who rose to defend themselves, their properties, and their right to life".

The forces called for "activating popular committees and forming more of them, protecting our homes, our families, our crops, and our livestock, closing roads to aggressive outposts, and protecting the land". They also called for "mobilizing all resources at the official, civil, and private sector levels and providing support to consolidate the steadfastness of the people and translating these slogans into tangible reality to alleviate the burden of occupation measures, so these villages and towns are not left alone in facing the policies of occupation and its settlers".

The statement continued: "The forces urge our people to head towards protecting the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Islamic and Christian sanctities in occupied Jerusalem as daily attacks and incursions into its courtyards escalate, to protect the steadfastness of Jerusalemites and defend the Bedouin communities surrounding it, and the Palestinian desert threatened with displacement, especially Khan al-Ahmar".

In the file of prisoners, the forces called for continuing the international campaign that recently started to support victims of assaults and sexual violence inside the occupying prisons and detention centers, and to expand popular action in the squares of cities and in front of Red Cross headquarters, and to intensify communications and meetings with relevant international institutions and bodies.

The forces also call for increasing pressure on the occupying state to stop its practices against female and male prisoners and to provide protection for them, and demand suspending the occupation's membership in international institutions and holding it accountable for its crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories, and imposing comprehensive sanctions on it until it complies with international law.
