Occupation seizes 498 dunams of citizens' lands east of Tubas

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation authorities issued six military orders last night to seize 498 dunams of citizens' lands in various areas east of Tubas Governorate.

The official in charge of settlement issues in Tubas Governorate stated that the military orders target lands in Tubas, Tiyasir, Al-Aqaba, Abzeiq, and Raba, noting that they come as part of the "Crimson Thread" project announced by the occupation at the end of last year and which began implementation this year.

For its part, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission explained that the orders target 498 dunams of citizens' lands in the governorate, and that its tables showed that the occupation had allocated 360,172 dunams of land that it had previously declared as "state land," accounting for approximately 72.3% of the total targeted area.

Previously, the occupation had issued several military orders under which it seized hundreds of dunams of citizens' lands in Tubas Governorate, isolating thousands of dunams of agricultural and pastoral lands, especially in the northern valleys.

Additionally, the occupation has destroyed hundreds of dunams of agricultural land and water pipelines in the Atouf area, one of the regions through which the so-called "Crimson Thread" project passes, negatively impacting the economic reality in the agricultural area.
