"Bayt Mal Al-Quds" Executes a Medical Day in Qubeiba and Its Nursing Home

SadaNews - The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, affiliated with the Jerusalem Committee chaired by King Mohammed VI, held a free medical day in the town of Qubeiba, Amwas, northwest of Jerusalem, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the healthcare sector in the city of Jerusalem and the surrounding villages and Bedouin communities.

The medical day was organized in partnership with "Astra Lab" laboratories, and included various medical services, with the participation of a general physician, a pediatrician, and an ophthalmologist, alongside mobile medical unit services and nursing.

Dozens of citizens, including seniors from the nursing home in the town, benefited from the free consultations and treatments, in an initiative that was widely welcomed by the residents.

The mayor of Qubeiba, Saed Zahran, praised the humanitarian role played by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, appreciating King Mohammed VI's continuous support for the Palestinian people and his commitment to enhancing the steadfastness of the citizens in Jerusalem and its suburbs.

Zahran confirmed that this campaign is the first of its kind to reach the town with this level of comprehensive medical services, noting that Qubeiba represents a national and humanitarian model of coexistence between Muslims and Christians.

He added that allocating part of the campaign to serve the nursing home residents and conducting medical examinations for them reflects a humanitarian concern for the most needy segments, especially under the difficult circumstances faced by the Palestinian people.

The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency launched the program of free medical campaigns in Jerusalem during the last Ramadan, as part of its annual social aid program. The campaigns included areas such as Khan al-Ahmar, Jahaline gatherings, Al-Muntar, Jba'a, Hizma, Ruvat, Qalandiya camp, Qalandiya town, Qatana, Bedouin, Sheikh Saad, Mukhmas, and Al-Walaja, in addition to Bedouin gatherings around Beit Hanina.

So far, nearly 1,800 citizens have benefited from these campaigns, with about 30 medical cases transferred to hospitals for further treatment, including heart cases, catheterization, and children in need of urgent medical intervention.

The program is set to continue, covering 24 campaigns across 31 areas, while considering the integration of some areas within the same campaign according to population density. The final phase of the program also includes providing prescription glasses for children based on medical reports, alongside securing necessary medications, contributing to enhancing the sustainable health impact of these initiatives.
