Negev: 3 Injured, One in Critical Condition in Shooting Incident in Tammra

SadaNews - Three people were injured, one of them critically, while the other two lightly, as a result of a shooting incident in the town of Tammra in the Negev region, late Saturday to Sunday.

The injured were transferred, after receiving initial treatment, to "Suroka" Hospital in Beersheba for further treatment.

Israeli police stated that they have begun investigating the circumstances of the crime, without announcing the arrest of any suspects.

This comes at a time when the police is failing to provide security and safety to Arab citizens amid rampant crime and a lack of deterrence.

Society in the country has witnessed an escalation in incidents of violence and crime in recent years, including stabbings and murders in several towns. The police attribute the majority of these crimes to criminal and personal disputes, while observers point to deeper social and economic factors contributing to the exacerbation of the phenomenon.

This is occurring amid an unprecedented rise in murder rates within the Arab community since the beginning of this year until today, with the toll reaching 101 fatalities. Data shows that about 96 of the victims were shot, alongside stabbing crimes, while a woman was burned inside a vehicle and a young man was killed in a deliberate hit-and-run incident.
