75,000 perform Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite occupation measures
SadaNews - More than 75,000 worshippers performed the Friday prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the measures implemented by the Israeli occupation forces at military checkpoints and throughout the city and around the Old Town and the mosque.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces deployed throughout the streets of Jerusalem, erected iron barriers at the gates of the Old Town and Al-Aqsa Mosque, stopped young men, checked their identities, and detained some of them.
It was also noted that the occupation forces stopped young men and checked their identities in Al-Wad Street in the Old City of Jerusalem, forcing them to leave the area and preventing them from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Settlers performed Talmudic rituals at the King Faisal Gate, one of the gates of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.
Settlers also assaulted citizens on Al-Wad Street leading to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque just before the Friday prayer.
