Israel Thwarts IRGC Plot to Target Oil Pipeline and Jewish Institutions in Azerbaijan
Translation by SadaNews: A joint statement issued by the Mossad, the Israeli army, and the Shin Bet revealed the thwarting of a dangerous plan by a secret Iranian cell linked to the Revolutionary Guard.
This cell was working to carry out an attack targeting the "BTC" oil pipeline in the Caucasus, which transports the majority of Azerbaijani oil to Israel.
According to SadaNews, the plan also included targeting Jewish institutions and sites in Azerbaijan, including the Israeli embassy and the Jewish synagogue in Baku, in addition to prominent figures from the local Jewish community.
The statement clarified that the cell was also planning to attack Israeli officials and strategic infrastructure in various locations around the world as part of a widespread campaign.
The Israeli occupation, according to the joint statement, succeeded in arresting the cell members and seized explosive drones and cluster bombs they had smuggled into Azerbaijan.
