Young Woman Killed by Fire Inside Vehicle in Kafr Qassem... "The Background is Criminal"
SadaNews - The body of a young woman was found inside a vehicle that caught fire in Kafr Qassem on Wednesday evening, where her death was pronounced at the scene. The police began an investigation into the circumstances, amid indications that the background was "criminal," in light of the rising crime rates in the Arab community.
Local sources reported that the crime victim is a young woman named Marlene Al-Turi, in her thirties and a resident of the town, who was killed after the vehicle she was in was set on fire, resulting in her death at the scene.
A statement from the police indicated that a report was received about a burning vehicle in Kafr Qassem in the Southern Triangle region. When police forces and medical teams arrived at the site, they found a person inside the vehicle who had passed away.
The police added that they began extensive search operations in the area, in parallel with pursuing suspects involved in the crime. According to an initial assessment, the police believe that the "background of the incident is criminal and related to an ongoing blood feud."
With this crime, the toll of murder victims in the Arab community since the beginning of 2026 rises to about 82 deaths, while the police have only resolved 8 murder cases, amidst ongoing criticism of them for their inability to provide security for Arab citizens, reaching the level of accusations of complicity with criminal organizations.
Since the beginning of April, 8 people have been killed, including 6 women, and three young men shot by the police, as well as three boys under the age of 18, not including the data from the occupied city of Jerusalem.
This comes against the backdrop of an unprecedented rise in crime rates, amidst repeated demands for Israeli authorities to take serious steps to combat organized crime and limit the proliferation of weapons, knowing that the year 2025 recorded a record toll of 252 Arab fatalities.
