Raids and Arrests in the West Bank and Jerusalem; Injuries During Clashes with Intruding Forces

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide campaign of raids and arrests in various areas of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem during the dawn and morning hours of Sunday, which included house invasions, searches, and subjecting a number of Palestinians to field interrogations after detaining them for hours.

Clashes erupted in some areas while confronting the intruding forces, resulting in injuries and cases of tear gas inhalation among Palestinians.

In Salfit Governorate, the occupation forces stormed the village of Marda north of the city, searched several homes, and vandalized their contents, in addition to conducting field interrogations with some residents.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces carried out a raid in the old city neighborhoods and around Al-Aqsa Mosque, and arrested two young men from the areas of Bab Hutta and Bab Al-'Amoud after subjecting them to field searches.

They also continued their incursions into the towns of Anata and Hazma northeast of Jerusalem, implementing extensive house searches and checking the identities of young men.

In the Hebron Governorate, the occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods within the city, including Jabal Al-Rahma and Wadi Al-Hariyah, as well as raiding the towns of Yatta and Dora in the south, executing arrests of several young men, in addition to delivering notices for them to review the occupation intelligence.

The arrests included a number of Palestinians from different towns and villages after raiding their homes and searching them.

In Ramallah and Al-Bireh, a young man was injured by rubber-coated metal bullets during clashes that broke out following the raid of occupation forces in the town of Birzeit at dawn today, while incursions continued into the villages of Deir Abu Mash'al, 'Aboud, and Kafr 'Ain, amidst military deployment and setting up flying checkpoints at the entrances.

In Bethlehem, special forces stormed the Dheisheh refugee camp, leading to clashes with young men and the heavy firing of gas and sound bombs towards homes, in addition to the arrest of six Palestinians, according to the Prisoners' Club, which confirmed other arrests following the raiding and searching of homes.

The occupation forces also arrested several young men in various areas of Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarem, Jericho, and Tubas during operations that included villages, towns, and refugee camps, and involved the detention of displaced persons and extensive searches of homes.
