Widespread Raids in the West Bank and Jerusalem Resulting in Dozens of Arrests

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a series of incursions and raids in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem early Wednesday morning, accompanied by clashes and arrests affecting dozens of Palestinians, in addition to storming homes, tampering with their contents, conducting field interrogations with residents, and detaining them for long hours.

In Bethlehem Governorate, the occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Fajjar south of the city, where they raided several homes and conducted thorough searches, with widespread presence in the neighborhoods and verification of residents' identities.

The Hebron Governorate and areas of Masafer Yatta and southern parts of the city witnessed nighttime clashes that continued until dawn, during which occupation forces fired tear gas canisters, leading to several Palestinians suffering from suffocation cases.

In Tubas in the northern West Bank, the occupation forces launched an arrest campaign that included the arrest of the President of the municipal steering committee of Tubas, while they stormed the city of Jerusalem and arrested a young man in Abu Dis after assaulting him.

The occupation police intensified their presence at the northern entrances to the city and near the apartheid wall, imposing strict restrictions on the movement of Palestinians and laborers, along with field detentions and verification of young men near the Old City.

Additionally, occupation forces stormed the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya south of Nablus, accompanied by settlers, and assaulted Palestinian properties before withdrawing this morning.

The Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies reported that arrest campaigns have escalated in the first quarter of 2026, recording 1,750 arrest cases, including 54 women and 121 minors, while three prisoners died inside the occupation prisons amid ongoing violations against detainees and prisoners.
