Election Committee: Training for Election Supervisors and Counting for the 2026 Local Elections Begins
SadaNews - The Central Elections Commission announced today, Wednesday, that it has begun implementing a training program aimed at 243 trainers to oversee the work of its teams on election day, as part of its preparations for the local elections scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The commission stated that the training includes qualifying these cadres to perform supervisory and operational tasks and to train the polling teams, which are expected to exceed 10,000 male and female employees, ensuring that the teams are ready to carry out their electoral tasks efficiently.
It noted that the training is being conducted in all electoral districts, with sessions held today, Wednesday, and tomorrow, Thursday, for the Nablus and Hebron districts, to be followed on Saturday and Sunday for the Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Bethlehem, and Jenin districts. Training will continue in the remaining districts until April 14 of this month.
The commission emphasized that this training aims to empower participants with a comprehensive understanding of the procedures, laws, and regulations governing election day and counting to ensure that they carry out their tasks accurately and on time, thereby enhancing the integrity and safety of the electoral process.
