The Election Committee Launches Awareness Campaign for the Electoral Advertising and Voting Phases
SadaNews - The Central Election Commission announced the launch of an awareness campaign for the local elections, which includes raising awareness about the electoral advertising phase and its accompanying regulations and procedures, as well as informing about the voting day procedures and voting mechanisms. This is part of its preparations for the local elections to be held on April 25, 2026, in 183 local authorities in the West Bank and Deir al-Balah.
The committee stated that the awareness campaign targets over a million citizens who are eligible to vote in the local authorities where elections will be held, according to the approved voter registry.
It confirmed that it is proceeding with its awareness campaign by expanding investment in tools
and digital platforms, in addition to partnerships with media outlets and civil society organizations, and holding direct meetings through workshops and seminars in various governorates, which contributes to raising the level of electoral awareness among citizens and enhancing their knowledge of the procedures and regulations governing the electoral process.
In conjunction with the authorities in the West Bank, the committee pointed out that the field awareness campaign in Deir al-Balah was launched in parallel with those in the West Bank, through a series of workshops and awareness meetings directed at citizens, in addition to the electronic campaign.
It added that it continues to publish all awareness materials through its digital platforms, including its website and all platforms of partners and local authorities, with the aim of facilitating citizens' access to correct and reliable electoral information at various stages of the electoral process.
