Bridge of Al-Zarqa: Young Man Killed in Shooting Incident
SadaNews - A 22-year-old man was killed as a result of a shooting incident in the town of Bridge of Al-Zarqa on Friday evening, raising the death toll in the Arab community since the beginning of the year to 76 fatalities.
A medical team from "Magen David Adom" performed resuscitation operations on the victim, who suffered critical injuries that penetrated his body, before he was transferred to "Hillel Yaffe" Hospital in Hadera for further treatment, where the medical team declared him dead after attempts to save his life failed.
Two paramedics from the medical team stated, "We were called to provide treatment to a young man who was injured as a result of a violent incident, and upon our arrival at the scene, he was unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and suffered a penetrating injury. We began to provide initial treatments, including resuscitation, and then he was transferred to the hospital in critical condition."
76 Arab Fatalities Since the Beginning of the Year
With this crime, the toll of crime and violence victims in the Arab community since the beginning of this year has risen to 76 victims, including 75 victims from 33 cities and villages, and one victim from the West Bank who was killed in Nazareth.
Among the victims are five women, three young men who were killed by police gunfire, and three boys under the age of 18. This statistic does not include the occupied city of Jerusalem.
This comes amidst an unprecedented rise in violence and crime in the Arab community, with increasing demands for the Israeli authorities to take serious steps to stop the proliferation of weapons and combat organized crime that is claiming more lives.
It is worth noting that the year 2025 recorded an unprecedented toll in murders, reaching 252 Arab fatalities, amid ongoing accusations against the Israeli police for failing to provide security and safety for Arab citizens.
