The Interior Minister Participates in the 43rd Session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers
SadaNews - Today, Wednesday, Interior Minister Major General Ziad Habb Al-Reeh participated in the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, which was held via video conferencing, with the participation of Arab interior ministers.
Alongside Major General Habb Al-Reeh, the meeting was attended by the Director General of the Preventive Security Service, the Commander of the Customs Control Service, the Director General of Police, the Director General of the Civil Defense Service, the Deputy Security Assistant to the Minister, and the Head of the Arab and International Cooperation Unit at the Ministry of Interior.
Major General Habb Al-Reeh reviewed the developments in the region, emphasizing that the escalating military actions cast severe shadows on regional security and stability. He reiterated the position of the State of Palestine, which rejects the Iranian aggressions against Arab countries, viewing them as violations of sovereignty and security, and expressed full solidarity with these countries, calling for de-escalation and prioritizing political solutions.
He pointed out the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip amid the ongoing aggression, urging immediate action to facilitate humanitarian aid and to initiate recovery and reconstruction plans. He also addressed the Israeli violations in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, such as settlement expansion, assaults by settlers, and the Israeli Knesset's enactment of the "Execution Law for Palestinian Prisoners."
In this context, he clarified that the financial crisis resulting from the withholding of clearance funds has exacerbated the challenges facing the Palestinian government. Nevertheless, it continues to fulfill its national duty in providing services to citizens, enhancing their steadfastness, maintaining security and public order, and protecting lives and property. He emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab cooperation and joint coordination to face challenges and establish stability in the region.
