The Election Committee Discusses Enhancing Awareness and Media Coverage in Meetings with Writers, Analysts, and Journalists
SadaNews - The Central Elections Committee held two separate meetings; the first with a number of local writers and analysts, and the second with several radio and television program hosts and editors from various websites, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of awareness and media coverage of the electoral process.
The committee presented, during the meetings, an overview of its most significant achievements and the progress made in the stages of the electoral process, in addition to its efforts in the area of electoral awareness and the voting mechanism according to the new law.
The committee also updated the writers and analysts on the latest figures and statistics related to the voter registry, the number of local bodies where elections will take place, and the number of candidates in the classified municipalities and village councils.
Participants discussed cooperation mechanisms to enhance electoral awareness among citizens, contributing to increased participation and expanding knowledge of the regulatory procedures governing the electoral process.
In a separate meeting with journalists, the committee also presented, in addition to the figures and statistics, its media plan for Election Day and the measures taken to ensure the flow of information and facilitate media coverage, ensuring the accurate and professional transmission of the electoral process's events.
The committee emphasized the importance of partnership with writers, analysts, and media outlets in supporting awareness efforts and enhancing the integrity and transparency of the electoral process, thereby strengthening citizens' trust and encouraging active participation.
