The National Committee for Gaza Management Discusses with International Partners Support for Vital Sectors and Strengthening Humanitarian Response
SadaNews - The National Committee for Gaza Management, headed by Ali Abd al-Hamid Shath, held a series of intensive meetings over the past two days with several international partners, as part of efforts to rally international support and enhance the response to humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip.
The committee discussed, during its meeting with the European Union representative in Palestine, with the participation of representatives from member states, ways to develop cooperation programs and mechanisms to support the population in the sector, in light of the deteriorating humanitarian challenges.
The committee also discussed, during a separate meeting with the President of the World Bank and several of his regional aides, the mechanisms for implementing necessary funding programs to support vital sectors in Gaza, contributing to improving the economic reality and basic services.
In a related context, the committee held a virtual meeting with representatives of the United Nations agencies, from within the American Coordination Center, where priorities for joint action were discussed, especially during the Eid al-Fitr holiday and beyond, to enhance the response to humanitarian and service needs.
The National Committee for Gaza Management affirmed its ongoing efforts to coordinate with international partners to serve the interests of the Palestinian people and support efforts for stability and improving living conditions in the sector.
