Ramallah and Al-Bireh Forces: The Days of Dignity and Land are Eternal Landmarks of Struggle

SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces in Ramallah and Al-Bireh stated on Saturday that the occupying state is exploiting the ongoing aggressive war on Iran to implement its plans on the ground, whether by targeting the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and closing it for the first time since 1967, preventing prayers in it, or rapidly accelerating measures aimed at ethnically cleansing the Palestinian land. They condemned ongoing violations by settler terrorist gangs against homes and properties in the villages and towns, with the eastern countryside of Ramallah and Al-Bireh being a glaring example of what is happening in the occupied West Bank, as demolition campaigns and daily closures of barriers and gates escalate alongside daily arrest campaigns and the continued suffering of our people in the Gaza Strip, according to their statement.

The forces demanded national unity and popular solidarity to repel attacks and confront these plans with a firm and steady field unity, meeting the needs of citizens to support their steadfastness on the land in defense of our people's existence and enhancing the economic structure with governmental economic policies that would thwart the occupation's efforts to create a repulsive environment to implement the displacement plan sought by Smotrich and Ben Gvir, as stated in their statement.

They renewed their greetings to the Palestinian woman - the mother, sister, captive, and martyr in the March of Giving, confirming that the memory of the Battle of Dignity will remain a solid landmark for our people's legitimate struggle until they attain their national rights and an important station in our people's struggle to repel aggressors, drawing inspiration from the experience and its meanings in the continuous adherence to the land. This year marks the anniversary of Land Day under the continued plunder, confiscation, and severing of ties by the occupying government, which necessitates a return to the land with government programs encouraging its reclamation. They will work to revive the memory of Land Day this year with activities and volunteer campaigns to plant trees in targeted lands and visits to threatened areas under continuous assaults by settlers, as mentioned in the statement.

They additionally indicated that preparations for commemorating Palestinian Prisoner Day in mid-next month will intensify after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, leading up to the national program to commemorate the occasion against the backdrop of the daily torture and repression faced by female and male prisoners in the occupation's prisons, as well as systematic starvation and torture policies, preventing access to medical treatment as prescribed by international conventions and agreements. This calls for gathering all energies and resources to raise awareness of the prisoners' suffering before international bodies and working at the local, regional, and international levels to shed light on the reality of the suffering experienced by the prisoners' movement in the occupation's prisons, according to their statement.

They noted that during the meeting, it was decided to carry out several activities and preparatory meetings to commemorate this occasion with the broadest forms of participation and to address international and international bodies to take effective and rapid action to protect the Palestinian people and work to activate international mechanisms that ensure accountability for the occupying forces for their crimes against the Palestinian people and compel the occupying state to stop its aggressive policies against our people and comply with international resolutions guaranteed by international law and the International Covenant on Human Rights until they attain their complete and undiminished rights, as mentioned in the statement.
