The victim was identified as 25-year-old Ghazi Abraeq from the neighboring town of Abu Sinan.
Sources indicated that unknown assailants shot at the vehicle the young man was in, resulting in critical injuries that led to his death.
The occupation police claimed in a statement that they "have opened an investigation into the shooting incident that targeted a vehicle in Kafr Yasif and resulted in the death of a man," stating that "the background is criminal."
