SadaNews - The Explosives Engineering Division in the police has warned citizens against approaching missile fragments and remains for their safety.
In a statement tonight, it said: "In light of the current circumstances and the potential for missile fragments or remains to fall in some areas, the police urge citizens to adhere to the following instructions for their safety: do not approach any unfamiliar object, fragments, or remains of missiles that may fall in residential areas, do not stand in open spaces during shelling or climb on rooftops, and it is essential to seek shelter and take a safe cover, and do not touch or move these objects under any circumstances, as they may contain hazardous, toxic, or incendiary materials, or unexploded components.
It also urged keeping children and citizens away from the location of the fallen object, preventing gatherings or close approaches, and to immediately inform the police via the emergency number (100), and civil defense through the number (102), providing them with the exact location of the object if possible.
Citizens are also advised not to attempt to photograph the object or approach it, as this may pose a danger to public safety, and to adhere to the instructions of security forces until specialized teams arrive to manage the object and neutralize the threat.
The police confirmed that explosives engineering teams are working around the clock to handle these objects and ensure the areas are free of any hazards, emphasizing that citizens' adherence to the instructions and prompt reporting contributes to protecting lives and property.
