Forced Displacement of Three Families from Atof Due to Settler Attacks
SadaNews - Three families from the Atof area southeast of Tubas dismantled their homes and tents last night and began to leave due to the escalating attacks and ongoing threats by settlers against them.
Motasem Basharat, the head of the Jordan Valley file in Tubas Governorate, reported that three families were forced to dismantle their homes and tents in the eastern area of Atof and evacuate after the increase in settler violence in the region, which was accompanied by repeated threats that compelled the families to leave forcibly.
He noted that in the past period, several families have been displaced from pastoral communities around Tubas and northern Jordan Valley areas, amidst the continuous increase in settler attacks occurring around the clock, which include assaults on citizens' homes, physical assaults and intimidation, in addition to chasing shepherds in the pastures, and stealing or killing their livestock.
