Irziqat: We dealt with 106 shrapnel cases across various governorates resulting in two injuries and 12 property damage incidents
SadaNews - The media spokesperson for the police, Major Louay Irziqat, stated that the number of shrapnel incidents dealt with since the onset of events across various governorates has reached 106, resulting in two injuries and 12 cases of damage to citizens’ properties. All reports regarding fallen shrapnel were handled with the support of the relevant authorities, securing the sites and removing hazardous materials according to approved safety procedures, in order to protect the safety of citizens and their properties.
Irziqat clarified in statements made today, Monday, that the police are continuously monitoring field events to address any new reports, urging citizens not to approach any fallen objects or shrapnel or attempt to touch or move them, as they may pose a danger to their lives.
He also stressed the importance of immediately reporting any suspicious objects or fallen shrapnel via the emergency number (100), and leaving the handling of such matters to specialized crews to ensure public safety.
Irziqat pointed out that the police are continuing to raise awareness among citizens about the necessity of adhering to safety guidelines, wishing safety for everyone.
