Bar Association: Crimes of settlers in the occupied West Bank are organized terrorism with government cover

SadaNews - The Palestinian Bar Association emphasized in a press statement issued this afternoon, following the crime committed by settler gangs early today in the village of Abu Flah north of Ramallah, which resulted in the martyrdom of three men from the town, as well as previous crimes in Qaryut and Masafer Yatta in the past few days, that what is happening in the occupied West Bank in terms of crimes committed by settlers is organized terrorism with full cover from the extreme right government.

The association stated that the escalating daily crimes in the West Bank by extremist settlers represent a direct expression of the mentality that controls Israeli political decision-making, which is based on uprooting the indigenous people from their land through entrenching annexation, settlement actions, and stealing land by creating an illegal legislative environment to attempt to legitimize these actions. At the same time, it provides the necessary resources and protection for settler gangs to terrorize the indigenous population within a systematic program that enhances the idea of displacement.

The association clarified that these assaults and criminal practices, which are an extension of a long series of crimes committed against the Palestinian people in various places of their existence, have not left any description that is not included in the context of reading the international crimes described in international charters.

The Bar Association called on diplomatic bodies operating in the occupied territories and various international and human rights organizations to urgently convey the reality of what is happening in terms of organized aggression and crime against the Palestinian people and land, and to bear the necessary responsibilities in confronting the continuous violation of international law and the ongoing disregard of the path of justice in accountability and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and to live freely and with dignity.
