Widespread Arrests in the West Bank and Seizure of Homes Converted into Military Barracks

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale campaign at dawn and on Sunday morning in several areas of the occupied West Bank, which included raiding homes, searching them, and assaulting their owners, coinciding with a rise in settler attacks against Palestinians and their properties.

The Prisoners Club clarified that the army stormed the city of Nablus and arrested two young men, Ala and Jihad Al-Sarkaji, from their home near Al-Ain camp, in addition to Rami Al-Aghbar and Maher Salah.

Wide arrests were also witnessed in the town of Qusra, the town of Tuqu', and Al-Saf Street in Bethlehem, which included the injured young men Ahmed Osman and Jumaa Samir Al-Badan, in addition to Youssef Al-Direbani.

In Ramallah, the freed prisoner and former student activity leader at Birzeit University, Saleh Hassan, was re-arrested after his home in Ain Mabsan neighborhood was stormed just two weeks after his release, while the incursion in Al-Dhahiriya and Hebron included arrests of young men and the re-arrest of the freed prisoner Khalil Awawda just two days after his release.

Widespread incursions also occurred in villages south of Hebron, such as Al-Majd, Sika, and Deir Al-Asal, which involved assaults on Palestinians and targeting their homes, with some being converted into temporary military barracks.

The assault on the citizen Saleem Mohammed Saleem Al-Jawaida in the village of Sika resulted in injuries and bruises, and he was transferred to Dura Government Hospital after his condition deteriorated, while the occupation seized his home and turned it into a military barracks.

The occupation forces continue to carry out repeated campaigns in areas south of Hebron and other Palestinian cities and towns, storming homes, assaulting Palestinians, and seizing homes to be converted back into military outposts or barracks, amid the recent escalation of these practices.
