Thousands Perform Friday Prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Tight Israeli Restrictions
SadaNews - Thousands of citizens performed the Friday prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, amidst the stringent military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities on accessing the mosque.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces hindered worshipers from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the prayer, stopping a number of young men and preventing them from entering the mosque, and also detaining others after they exited the Friday prayer.
The occupation forces continue to impose strict restrictions on worshipers entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially on Fridays.
The occupation authorities deprive thousands of citizens from the West Bank provinces from reaching Jerusalem to pray at Al-Aqsa, as they require the issuance of special permits to cross their military checkpoints surrounding the holy city.
